The Man Engine arrives at Wadebridge

Photos by Denise Blay

You’ve all heard of the Man Engine, but if you haven’t this comes from the Cornish Mining site:

Powered by Volvo, the largest mechanical puppet ever constructed in Britain toured the length of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site last summer, unearthing a deep lode of passion and pride. Now, the colossal miner is preparing for his Resurrection Tour across Cornwall and West Devon, before he drives further, into Somerset, South Wales and up to the north of England.

11.2 metres high, the Man Engine, a magnificent piece of engineering was at Wadebridge today. Enjoy the photos.
